Welcome to Soxy's set up course! During this intensive one day course you and 3 other students will gain valuable experience in a positive supportive environment. Soxy will bring his 20 years experience to the table with all tips and tricks revealed!
This course will give you the skills and confidence to work on your own guitars and get them playing perfectly! At the end of the course you will feel more relaxed and able to understand the factors that affect your guitars playability such as:
Truss rod setting,
Environmental changes
Choice of String Gauges
Nut height and cutting slots
Finessing of nut slots for optimum tuning
Intonation and how to set it – foolproof everytime
Action height @ the 12th fret
Setting tremelos to be stable
Soxy will individually guide you through this with hands on tuition and explain in easy to understand language.
Course length is 6.5 hours and runs from 10.00am to 4.30pm on a Saturday/Sunday. Places are limited to 3 students - allowing each student plenty of one on one tuition time. This is NOT a classroom lecture - but a shop class with hands on learning from a professional luthier with over 20 years experience, working for some of Australia's finest guitar players
With this one course the average student will leave confident to set up their own guitar time and time again, proving invaluable in time and cost savings. The student can now personalize the action to suit His/Her style EXACTLY.
Course fee is only $330 per student including lunch and all coffees!
Coffee is necessary for successful set ups. :) Booking fee of $100 is necessary to secure your place as numbers are limited. A professional set up tool kit is available at a reduced discount if booked in advance of course date
